Not sure if it was expected (or unexpected) the fact it was empty. Of course, it was a weekday and just around noon so people might not be up for choux pastry at this time of the day…
The special of that day was strawberry so that’s what I ordered. Here are the shots…
Tearing a piece out to be able to “look” at the custard filling.
Overall, the opinion I had a couple of months ago has not changed. Just like the first time, I almost chocked with the powder-y icing sugar. The filling was not strawberry tasting enough. The good thing is that, if I want something “sweet” next time, there are new baked-goods shops in the nearby area so options exist. It is just a matter if I want to drop by. As for Beard Papa’s, fool me once, fool me twice…

Funny timing with this post, as I’d hit up the Beard Papa in Richmond recently, and got to try some non-Vanilla flavours for the very first time. Might post about it one day…

Well, it seems most of us somehow end up in the same places!
So true. But it seems the downtown Vancouver area is more your domain than mine, so look forward to your fresh posts of places there that I am not frequently able to visit.
