Baltimore, Maryland – Photo Essay (Part 1)

Last week, I was in Baltimore, Maryland for work reasons and couldn’t help take some pictures. This entry has been split into three, two of pictures of the nearby area and, since this is mainly a food blog, I have included one food entry as well. So, in a way, this is a triple entry! The other two entries are:

The hotel I was staying at, the Tremont Park Hotel. I stayed here because my customer had corporate rates here.

Actually it wasn’t this bright (call it camera effect). The hotel as a whole was a bit worn.

The Washington Momunent, a couple of blocks from the hotel. Makes me wonder if there is a reason the monument itself is so high you can really see what’s at the top…

The Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University, near the Washington Monument.

Couldn’t help but smirk at the name of this entrance… Leakin Hall…

Severn Teackle Wallis statue in Mount Vernon Square. The Washington Memorial is in the back.

Battle of North Point Monument. I had the same problem here as in the picture of the Washington Memorial…

No idea about this building but I thought it was interesting (architecture-wise, it is representative of various old buildings in the area).

View of Baltimore Street, one of the main streets.

Further down in Baltimore Street, barely a block from where I was working. Make your own conclusions…
