Five or so years ago, I was living in Vancouver’s West End. Back then, a restaurant called Yoshoku-Ya Restaurant got me confused. “Western dishes”, Japanese style? What is wrong with a regular Salisbury steak? Anyway, that was back then and have learned a lot ever since. That’s why, when I walked by Barefoot Kitchen, I had an idea of what to expect.
