Some people might call me crazy for craving something cold on a cold day. But, reality is, hey, I don’t care! However, after my ordeal with a waffle bowl, I don’t think I would go to a Dairy Queen any time soon… And what was the closest thing I was able to find? Wendy’s…
In an odd, errr…, twist (?), they don’t have soft-serve as McDonald’s or DQ; instead, they have an almost slushy soft-serve (called “Frosty”). In a move similar to McDonald’s with their McFlurry, they created “Twisted Frosty”. In my case, I got the Oreo version.
Unfortunately, it took me a while before I was able to snap this picture; hence it looks slightly melted.
I will not try to compare it to DQ’s Blizzard for the simple reason the latter is thicker (“gravity test”?); however, I think I can compare it to the McFlurry. In that case, I find I like the McFlurry more as the Twisted Frosty was too sweet. Would I order it again? Most probably not…
