Chinese New Year in Vancouver
After my previous visit to Vancouver’s Chinatown, I decided to try again and go the past weekend to take pictures of the festivities. Unfortunately, it was rainy… Here is my photo essay of the celebration.

Millenium Gate

Dr. Sun Yat Sen Park. I blogged about an event there last year.

Since this is a food blog, there ought to be food, right? Here, a pork bun from New Town Bakery. I (guest) blogged it previously – check here.

Ah, pork goodness…

International Village.

of the International Village…

Since it was raining, I decided to leave early. But, before, I stopped by Costco to grab a hot dog ($2).

Bonus: GM Place, home of the Vancouver Canucks. I think So You Think You can Dance had an event there that day…

That pork bun looks divine and way better than the last few I picked up, here in Edmonton, which were skimpy on the meat and sauce. Your picture is damn tasty looking! Costco – I think one of their greatest ideas was to let people into the food court without having a membership.
I love the pictures! Makes me wish I were visiting Vancouver
Pearl, you could, you could! ^_^
Raidar, I have been in New Town Bakery before so I had a good idea of what I was going to get, hehehe. However, that does not mean all the buns here are good. Re: Costco, yes, agreed, completely! Alas, they don’t sell roasted chicken in the food court area (or at least not in the one in Downtown Vancouver).
That pork bun looks way better than the one I had in London Chinatown. I guess it’s because yours was BBQ pork bun, not sure what mine was. Looks like lots of people turned up to see the fun despite the weather!
