Technically, yes, a milk shake would be ice cream plus milk; however, nowadays, specially in chain restaurants, the soft-serve mix can be used as well. But, I seldom have milk shakes as it is too heavy for me (did that once in Burgers Etc and... -_-). Gold leaves? That is just a gimmick. The human body can't digest metallic gold so it leaves your body unaltered (if you know what I mean). As for the burger, unfortunately, I don't have plans to fly to Australia anytime soon, so I can't comment on that. However, if you could give us an idea of the burger shops you have been in Canada (preferably Vancouver), we can draw a line of what you consider "best". But the fries were some potatoes swimming in oil. I have been told that the milk shakes are worth the high price. It's still just ice cream and milk right. No gold flakes sprinkled on top?
