Jenn, welcome! I haven’t been to Richmond Night Market in a long while so I can’t say. However, I won’t call it a hot dog as much as a meat sandwich. Why? Hey, it is not meat in a tube!

Actually, when I was in Costa Rica…I was really hungry and the only thing to eat around was this hot dog stand, and they do put crushed chips on top. Weird, but….eh!

Oh Guys! I love this idea. Why make the hot dog stand so one sided. Let us bring to the city a new type of stand ‘GlobalDog’.

Sure there might only be one option from each region, but you could rotate through countries. It’s genius!!!

Korean Dog: As suggested by raidar, with a banchan (kimchi, bean sprouts, potatoes, etc) toppings on each dog!
Spanish Dog: With Jamon Serrano on each dog; however, it will cost you $15…
Italian Dog: with pesto or ragu and, instead of cheddar, it will be (hopefully) real parmiggiano.
Greek Dog: Feta cheese, tomato, cucumbers and olives as toppings. Come to think about it, they should to use the meat chunks of a souvlaki rather than a wiener.
Chile/Argentina: Choripan (a grilled cured chorizo in a bun).

Is this getting a bit out of hand?

Sherman, I would try the wrap dog one but, having it wrapped already, would it still be considered a hot dog?

Again, let’s do Chinadog! Mind you, people might think there was actual dog in it. Imagine Black Bean Dog, Sweet n Sour Dog, Duck Lettuce Wrap Dog, Peking Dog….
