Underexposed…

by KimHo on November 24, 2009 under: Random

This post has been set up to be “sticky”. For today’s post, please, check below.

I have a semi-out of topic question for everybody who visit this site and check the pictures I have taken: Do you believe the pictures are too “dark” or under-exposed?

Let me provide a bit more background: I received a message telling that is the case. OK, sure, that was a single email; however, I have an idea where he/she is coming from. See, in my case, I usually set up the contrast/brightness of my monitor somewhat low, as a result, the picture is partially based on that adjustment. Why not just “increase” those setting? I could, but setting it over 75% is, more often that not, a bit too bright to me. However, once I am aware that is the case, I know how I can compensate for that.

Thoughts appreciated!

I like your photos just the way they are.

Yea, maybe 1/3 of a stop under….but it’s not bad.

It’s the package that counts. Word & picture.
If I’d want great pictures, I buy myself a coffee table book.

Everybody, thanks for your comments. There is that odd possibility the sender of the email has higher standards but I guess I should check with my readers instead! I appreciate your feedback so I will lock this post. But, if you have any thoughts/comments, please, check my About page or drop me an email!
