Merry Christmas 2009! – Van Dusen Botanical Garden

I think I am starting a tradition here, hehehehe. Similar to last year (here and here), I went to Van Dusen Botanical Garden again this year for the Festival of Lights. Below is my photo essay. And, of course, Merry Christmas to everybody!

Thanks for the pictures. It looks very pretty and I’m sure it’s very special to walk around.

I’ve always wondered what Van Dusen looks like all lit up, but then the admittance price always makes me pause (by the time I include my nieces and nephews, it adds up).

I wish they had a special discount on Christmas Eve.

Anyways, have a great christmas and thanks for posting your foodie adventures.

Holly, you are more than welcome! And, please, check the links above, as I visited Van Dusen last year too! Now, out of curiosity, how many of you would it be, i.e., how many adults, nieces and nephews? They have family packages (2 adult + 2 children under 18) and children under 6 is free.

Gorgeous pictures Kim! You sure have an eye.

Merry Christmas from Edmonton! Hope you are warm, safe, and full of good food!

Thanks, but the family package wouldn’t work out as all 4 nieces and nephews are over 6.

Raidar, thank you! Happy holidays to you, too!

Holly, ouch, yes if your niece/nephews are over 6, then indeed it is quite expensive. Should next year try to bring a camera to capture the dancing lights? :)

Is that real snow or manmade? Or did you go during that brief stint that we did have snow for that day and a half?

RF, welcome! That is real snow! By pure chance, alignment of the star, etc. etc., I went on the two days that snowed in Vancouver.
