As I mentioned in a tweet on Friday night, I am back in Vancouver! And where was I? How about a couple hundred of click south? Yes, I was in Seattle… Wait, make that Tacoma. It was a bit unfortunate it was raining the whole time, not to mention I was far from Downtown Seattle. I did go there on my way back but, still, I couldn’t take that many pictures of the area (aside from rain, did not have a tripod with me). But, even then, I am glad to be back in Vancouver. As a reminder of where I live, I decided to take a small walk – hey, both cities have certain similarity (rain aside…). Here, a small photo essay.
Note: Clicking the image will open it in a new window.

BC Place, where the opening ceremonies of Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympic Games will take place.

Cambie Bridge again, this time overlooking Downtown Vancouver

Science World, aka, Telus World of Science. South west of it (to the right of the picture), the Athlete’s Village; however, it was dark at the moment.

Great timelapse of the Cambie Bridge! I always let my husband take the night-time pictures when we’re traveling, I can never get a clear shot!
egirlwonder, thanks for your thoughts! I am sure your husband knows but, just in case, a steady hand will not work – you need a tripod or an even place you can put your camera.
Wonderful as always Kim. I can’t wait to see a sampling of the photo’s you will(hopefully) be snapping during the Olympics!
It is truly home sweet home eh? I bet it feels even better in Panama?
Lovely photos. Vancouver is nicer than Seattle, don’t you think
Raidar, yes I am hoping I will be snapping pictures of Downtown Vancouver during the games. Not sure if I will be doing that on other sites, though.
Sherman, yeah, home sweet home. As for Panama, yes and no. It is a long story…
Darina, both has good points and bad points. However, as I mentioned above, Vancouver is home sweet home!
